In this episode, our irreverent heroes dive into the topic of Canadian Copyright laws, beginning with the admission that they know NOTHING about Canadian Copyright Laws.  Naturally, the duo fail repeatedly to stay on topic, including talking about NOT talking about sample-rate-audio-quality-rabbit-holes and then talking about sample-rate-audio-quality-rabbit-holes.  Surprisingly, a few helpful references pop up about licensing and even a lawyer joke might be funny.

In this serious episode, James pretends to be an interviewer and tries to interview Tyson Travnik, founder of Shredmonton Metal Festival & Conference.  Joey shrugs and drinks his tea in mostly silent amusement, and the three engineers dub the new guys "Studio B!tch Mitch!"  Some fast food is eaten, some ignored.  For the most part, the guys just get down to business and fail to wander off topic.

Episode 14 - Something Wrong with the Mechanic

In this glorious episode, The hosts maintain different schedules and welcome as guest, Colin Wilson of local Edmonton band, Something Mechanical.  The three squirrels follow every leaf on the tree as they try to navigate through the idea of managing band members, firing band members, transitioning through the idea of bucket list recording to pursuing music as a career.  The idea of criticism as a growing tool is tossed around and the random BS scale goes off the charts.  Tune in for another exciting adventure.

Episode 13 - Lost in Traffic Jam

In this meandering episode, our dim witted heroes get lost in their own hairball thoughts and struggle without coffee.  After being excited about the potential of a second guest, Cory Bosse (Call him the Boss) of Sleeping in Traffic couldn't join the show to talk about his recent recording session.  Instead, Joey and James try to reconstruct the event from 2nd and 3rd hand stories.  Disaster predictably follows.  A conversation is had about why buying a $4000 microphone is the wrong thing to do for Joey, and James shares a dull list of gear he won't be buying.  Oh, and there is an unfortunate conversation about hair.

Episode 12 - Mastering is a Paradox

In this exciting, ground breaking episode, Joey and James welcome Glen Allan, of Paradox Mastering to the show as the very first guest of the podcast. Glen educates our heroes on what mastering is and how to properly get your home mixes ready for mastering.  Then, as is typical, James derails the conversation into stories about Glen's studio in the 90s, and a debate rages over the value of higher sample rates vs lower sample rates.  Yes, once again our heroes talk about topics no one else ever mentions!  Except Joey, he mostly just drank coffee.

Episode 11 - I'm Tired of Talking About This

In this glorious episode, Joey laments how James brings up a subject that is beaten to death, and then into a dead horse.  Should they avoid these tragedies? James complains frantically about a terrible website that Joey defends as "improving" and they dive into the world of weirdness that is metal.  Lastly there is a lesson to be learned from an awkward attempt to book James' studio for a video shoot in an hour, but they're not sure if they learned any lessons.  Stay tuned for more awkward tales on the next exciting episode of "Construction: An Under the Stairs Story!"

Joey brings up a forum question about vocal recording and James uses funny words… Finally, to wind down, they both rant about technology getting better and musicians getting lazier. Instant classic or should we hire the "Wrecking Crew?"

Episode 7 - Inexcusably Pregnant Pause

In this episode, our heroes talk about Joey's new job and how pictures can be used to trick the unsuspecting.  James tells a long, inexcusably awful story, and the guys take a twitter request from country band Ain't No Rodeo (@aintnorodeo).
